I confess, I grew up with wallpaper.

And I didn’t like it.

The resurgence of wallpaper worried me (do I have to live through that trend again?), but I’ve been finding myself won over more and more by the new take on it. Wall art in general.

The above is an excellent example: big and bold, like a luscious Gauguin or Audubon painting, and matching the theme and tone of the bedroom set by the magnificent bed, without overwhelming the room in an eye-crossing pattern.

It’s like a moment from Where the Wild Things Are.

I can live with that.

  1. I really like the textured papers. And I totally love seeing fabric on walls. Of course, none of it beats wall art like in the pic above.

  2. What is the source for the wallpaper above? I love it and I’m trying to find something similar. Do you have any idea?

    1. Hi Molly!

      Thanks for your interest!

Underneath the photograph, you’ll find links. I’d recommend checking out the designers and contacting them directly about this wallpaper that was featured in Susanna Salk’s book (link for that, too).

Best wishes on your quest for this lovely wallpaper!

If you talk about it, you'll feel better
